Information about Tricky Twister Fx
Tricky Twister Fx is a 2-in-1 EA that combines two complimentary strategies. One of them takes its profits when market is trending, whereas the second one takes profits when market is ranging. As a result, EA is capable of bringing continuous profit practically in all market conditions.
The first strategy (BreakOut) is based on the fact that the price will eventually move either up or down. So, this strategy tries to place trades along the trend in order to take its profits. If the trend is reversed, the trade is closed and the opposite trade (of larger volume) is opened. In this way, the first strategy takes its profits when price breaks out of the channel either up or down. It works best on the trending market. During the ranging market, this strategy accumulates drawdown, which will be compensated (with a surplus profit) when price breaks out from the range.
The second strategy (Range) is a counter-trend one. It opens trades when price moves rapidly and away from its moving average, in the direction opposite to the price movement. This strategy takes profits at the price retreats. If the price continues its directional movement, new trades will be opened against the price movement. So, this strategy uses a variety of the grid martingale algorithm. As compared to many other grid martingale EAs, this strategy can be considered as a conservative one, since (i) the first grid level is placed when price is already far away from its moving average and (ii) increase of the volume of the trades is relatively slow.
The unique feature of Tricky Twister Fx is that the periods of the peaked drawdowns of the two strategies do not overlap! Market can be either trending or ranging at a given time, but not both. This feature allowed us to achieve a much more even distribution of the marginal load on the deposit and a double profitability of the EA as compared to other martingale strategies.
What is the recommended money management?
Tricky Twister performs best when trading simultaneously on two pairs, EURUSD and GBPUSD. All settings provided with EA are adjusted for deposit of $10k ($10,000) and the minimal lots size allowed by the broker of 0.01 lots (= $1000 = $0.1 per pip). If you are trading with a larger deposit, just set AutoMM to TRUE and EA will recalculate the starting lot size accordingly.
The minimal deposit to trade with Tricky Twister is
Regular $ accounts with minimal lot 0.01 (=$1000) - $10,000
Cent accounts with minimal lot 0.1 (=10,000 cents = $100) - $1,000
Cent accounts with minimal lot 0.01 (=1,000 cents = $10) - $100
What are the recommended brokers?
Tricky Twister will work well on most brokers, 4-digits and 5-digits alike. You might wish to choose a broker with smaller spread on EURUSD and GBPUSD pairs. If your account deposit is not large enough for proper Money Management setup on a regular account, you may wish to use a cent account, which will restrict your choice of broker, as not all brokers offer cent accounts. The official live monitorings of Tricky Twister run on Forex4you.
What is the recommended leverage?
We recommend leverage 1:500, as it minimizes the marginal load on your deposit. But smaller leverages like 1:300 and 1:200 are also possible.
Is there a risk of blowing up my deposit with Tricky Twister?
Yes. Tricky Twister uses two carefully-chosen non-overlapping martingale strategies, which are very profitable but also bear risks for your deposit. The recommended Money Management setup yields the optimal performance in terms of the profit-to-risk ratio, but it does not guarantee against a blow-up. The following simple rules are highly recommended:
1) Do not put more money in trading than you can afford to lose.
2) Distribute your risks. (Never put all eggs in one basket.) Split your deposit in relatively small parts and run different EAs/ different pairs/ different settings on each of them. In this way, even if a blow-up will occur, it will not do much harm to your overall performance.
